Firstly, if you don’t have powerful plants, use some cheap ones to delay it, such as puff-shrooms or potatoes. Then you can use a chomper which can badly damage and weaken Gargantuar, but can’t kill it. The most effective way is to use a squash and a jalapeno, which can kill it fast.
　Probably the most useful strategy is to use two jalapenos, one to activate the Imp and another one to take them out. All in all, there are many different ways to kill the gargantuar which depends on individuals. Many PVZ plush toys fans prefer zombies than plants, among which Gargantuar is the hottest.
